It runs and drives great and has no issues. There is no warranty with this vehicle and it is being sold as is. A few other people I know with 86 Comanche's do not have the sticker there either. The catalyst sticker is there but not the other one. The sticker that has the build date on it is not present where it should be and does not appear to have ever been applied there. It has all the right stickers in all the right places except for one. Remember that this is a all original Comanche with 61K original miles and although it is a 2wd it is the earliest known to exist right now. I am a Jeep collector and have never really been into the Comanche's so I am deciding to list it. Has the original Marchel foglights with covers. It has the 2.8 GM V6 which was the largest engine offered in the 86 models. The chassis is also rot free and extremely nice. There is not rot, rust or dings on the body. The paint and stripes on the body are excellent and original. The paint above the steering column is wearing off and turning black.
1986 jeep comanche full#
It has the floorshift automatic with full console. The steering wheel, dashpad and seats are near perfect. Headliner is intact and not sagging anywhere. The carpet under the original floormats is still the correct color along with the floormats. It appears that the dye somehow came out of the color. The only other issue with the Jeep is that the carpet and headliner are discolored. I removed it but was unable to get one of the bolts back in all the way for one of the side rails. When I bought it the previous owner had a cap which he had installed. It has the original Jeep stamped bedliner with side rails.

The A/C works great and was recharged and serviced3 years ago. The only things changed have been the tires, battery, brakes and normal maintenance items. This is the same combo that was used in the early advertising for the Comanche. This is an all original XLS version with the longbed.

It came to NJ with 60500 miles on it and now has 61275 miles. Still has the dealershipsticker on the tailgate. It came from Florida and was originally sold at Sanford AMC in Sanford Florida. It has been in NJ since the beginning of 2014.
1986 jeep comanche serial number#
It is also the lowest serial number on the Comancheclub site. I have been on Jeep sale sites, forums and have not found any. I have owned it for the past 2 years and since that time myself and a few friends that are Jeep collectors have not been able to find a Comanche with a lower serial number. That's the 831st Jeep built in 1986 of all the models (CJ, Cherokee, Wagoneer, Truck). This is the earliest known Comanche to exist. 1986 Jeep Comanche XLS EARLIEST KNOWN Additional Info:ġ986 Jeep Comanche XLS.
